Albert Elia

Mr. Elia founded SUREBET in 1997 and acquired 100% ownership in 1999. Prior to SUREBET, Mr. Elia held executive positions in finance and insurance. From 1989 to 1997 he was president of SURETEK,
a surety bond insurance agency with offices in Tampa, Orlando, and Atlanta. Prior to that time, he was chief operating officer of Cumberland Casualty and Surety Company, and of Surety Specialists of Tampa. Both were subsidiaries of Kimmins Corp, where Mr. Elia served as V.P. of Finance from 1986-1989. From 1978-1985, Mr. Elia was president of Sevenson Construction Corp of Niagara Falls, NY.

He attended the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a Bachelors degree in 1969, and Niagara University, where he obtained an MBA in 1985.

Mr. Elia has been married to his wife, Mary Ellen, since 1971. They have two adult children, Albert (Boston) and Tara (Tampa).

Tara Elia (Vice President)

Tara graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000. She then began a career in pharmaceutical sales, a field in which she won several awards and received numerous promotions. In early 2006 Tara left the pharmaceutical sales arena to work with SUREBET, where she will be named a Property & Casualty Insurance Agent in February 2007.

Daniel Biga (Director of Sales & Marketing)

Mr. Biga was hired in the late summer of 2006. Mr. Biga comes to SUREBET with over 6+ years of experience in the Prize Risk Indemnity industry. From March of 2000-Mid Summer 2006, Mr. Biga was General Manager of SportWorx, and now continues to service that book of business with SUREBET. Mr. Biga has been involved in covering various sports contests such as half-court basketball shots and hole in one contests and has been responsible for the research and actuarial assumptions needed to maintain economic viability.  Mr. Biga supervised a staff of 14 employees and was responsible for forecasts and sales plans.  Prior to 2000, Mr. Biga spent five years as Regional Manager of Primerica Financial Services, a member of Citigroup. Mr. Biga assisted in investment portfolio maintenance, recruitment, and training of licensed agents, conducted seminars for schools, churches, and businesses.  Mr. Biga was a college scholarship athlete and attended West Georgia College in Carrollton, Georgia. Daniel is married to wife Tracy, and together they have two boys.
